" As a parent, one of the most important decisions we face is choosing the right education that fits best for our child’s needs. This decision involves many factors and ultimately leaves an impact on our child’s future.
I am thankful to live in a community where parents have a choice in their child’s education; even more grateful to be a part of a team of leaders who saw a need within the system and created an alternative, innovative solution.
Education shouldn’t come in a one-size-fits-all box. Young minds are like sponges, and the growth of a child is uniquely individual. At TLA the teachers and staff take pride in providing a safe, community-involved environment, tailored to fit each student’s needs, enabling organic growth and higher academic comprehension."
" Our children are all learning something. What and how they are learning is one of the biggest responsibilities in life. Our kids will not be well equipped for the future left to learn on their own. We don’t prepare life for our children we prepare our children for life. At TLA the students are being prepared for life in a very unique way. Not only are they getting an education they are learning what their strengths and weaknesses are. And at TLA they will make their strengths stronger and turn their weaknesses into strengths. TLA students learn to have confidence and creativity through project based learning while at the same time learning how to help and care for their friends/classmates by working together. This academy has truly impacted and will continue to impact the next generation of this community. "
"There’s nothing in a caterpillar that tells you it’s going to be a butterfly. We can only imagine how high our children will soar. My goal is to be apart of creating a learning environment where every child can tap into their own unique skills, and build the foundation that teaches them, the sky is not a limit."
"Every child is capable of amazing things. This generation, more than any other before, is primed for huge accomplishments and developments. This academy is a passion project that I feel will inspire and change the way we approach education for the next generation of leaders."
"Our children are the future of our country and it is our job to educate them in a way that leads to their becoming positive contributors to society! We've got to teach every child as an individual and nurture their positive attributes. It's time to think outside of the box when it comes to education to prepare students for the next step, whatever that may be."
"My life verse is "All things work together for good to those who love God and are called according to his purpose." Romans 8:28
This Academy is just that for me! What started as an idea for a home school co-op, has now become this! One day while working at the gym I felt burdened to talk to Keith about my true conviction of this home school. Keith, in awe, told me Lindsey also wanted something similar and after our first meeting our communication has been almost non-stop. Though education is not my background or degree, my soul breathes love: Love for helping others, love for this community, and the Permian Basin! I believe this Academy will serve as an asset to this community! Lindsey, myself, and other board members (who I am just getting to know) will work to meet a need through project based learning, community involvement, skills training, and small class sizes."
