Transformative Leadership Academy (TLA)

Position Overview

Transformative Leadership Academy is seeking a caring, dependable, and enthusiastic Pre-K Teaching Assistant to support our Early Childhood classroom. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with young children, values teamwork, and is passionate about helping students build a strong foundation for future learning.

The Pre-K Teaching Assistant plays a vital role in supporting both students and teachers in creating a positive and engaging learning environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist the lead teacher in implementing engaging, developmentally appropriate learning activities 
  • Support students’ academic, social-emotional, and behavioral development 
  • Work with individuals and small groups to reinforce learning concepts 
  • Help maintain a safe, organized, and welcoming classroom environment 
  • Assist with classroom preparation, materials organization, and daily routines 
  • Support students during transitions, meals, outdoor play, and other activities throughout the day 
  • Encourage positive social interactions and model appropriate behavior 
  • Collaborate with teachers and staff to meet the diverse needs of learners 
  • Participate in team meetings, training opportunities, and school-wide events 
  • Build positive relationships with students, families, and colleagues 

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required 
  • Experience working with young children preferred 
  • Ability to pass required background checks 
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively as part of a team

Transformative Leadership Academy (TLA)

Position Overview

Transformative Leadership Academy is seeking a caring, energetic, and bilingual educator to serve as a Bilingual Teaching Assistant in our Transitional Kindergarten classroom (ages 4–6). This role is ideal for someone who loves working with young children, values strong relationships, and is passionate about supporting both English-speaking and Spanish-speaking students and families.

The Bilingual Teaching Assistant plays an important role in supporting classroom instruction, student success, and communication with families.

  • Help facilitate communication between school staff and Spanish-speaking families when needed 
  • Support students' academic, social-emotional, and behavioral development 
  • Assist with classroom organization, preparation of materials, and daily routines 
  • Supervise and support students during transitions, meals, outdoor play, and enrichment activities 
  • Encourage positive behavior and model respectful communication 
  • Collaborate with teachers and staff to meet the diverse needs of learners 
  • Participate in team meetings, professional learning, and school-wide events 

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required 
  • Associate's degree or college coursework in education, child development, or a related field preferred 
  • Fluency in both English and Spanish required 
  • Experience working with young children preferred 
  • Ability to pass required background checks 
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
